All pieces are personally made entirly by hand.
Woods are chosen to suit your preferences and to make the most of the piece.
As Kip designs and creates one-of-a kind furniture, just for you, a journal of his work is recorded.
If you desire, your original/museum-quality heirloom will come accompanied by this work journal.
Years into the future, if any damage should occur to a piece, construction details in this work journal would assist with repairs.

Along with the work journal, Kip often provides an original hand-made drawing of the piece, beautifully framed.
When appropriate, original poetry is included along side of the drawing.
This poetry will reflect something special Kip has learned about you.
Some pieces include hand carving when it suits the work. Please note the hand-carved poetry in the lid of the blanket chest, for example; or the Inuit name carved into the piece holding the Dancing Walrus.
Kip Sorlie likes “hidden” things. This specialty of his sometimes serves security purposes, like hiding valuables inside/underneath in a hidden compartment. Other times, hidden drawers could be utilitarian, serving practical purposes, like a special hidden drawer to hold the chess pieces for a game table.

Pieces are named, dated, and personalized to delight you.
