Kip Sorlie’s dream is to pour his heart and soul into work that will live long after he is gone.
He will create some of the finest future heirlooms for those privileged to own his original pieces.
Kip has been practicing as a maker of fine furniture for 40+ years.
Beginning at age 9, he apprenticed with his grandfather, who was a boat builder.
The advantages Kip provides are unique. He is an artisan who designs and creates furniture;
creating a journal of his work as he builds each piece.
These heirlooms come accompanied by this work journal.
When appropriate, an original hand-made drawing of the piece, beautifully framed, is also provided, with original poetry included next to the drawing. (See “The Process page” for further exciting details.)
Check out the “Photo Gallery” for examples of some of Kip’s previous original creations.
Would you like a Stickley Furniture or Mission Oak look to your piece?
Or maybe you would prefer a museum quality Oriental style piece.
Hidden compartments are a special touch that Kip likes to include where he can; a delightful bonus.
Your wish is “The Old Woodworker’s” command!
